India: Unconventional Power Plant

Astonfield Renewable Resources with the mission of developing & providing world-class renewable energy solutions has proposed plans to implement a mega SPV power project (200 MW) across Gujarat. The project is to be implemented at an estimated investment of US$ 800 million. As of January 2009, the company has signed an MoU with the state government. Plans are also on the anvil to set up similar projects of MSW based power plant (54 MW) in Dhapa, a SPV plant (3 MW) in Haryana & a SPV plant (10 MW) in Karnataka and will be implemented at a cumulative cost of US$ 52 million
