India : Resin Plant

LANXESS India a subsidiary of the LANXESS AG group and a leading supplier of performance polymers & chemicals is planning to set up an ion exchange resin plant at Jhagadia in Gujarat. The unit will manufacture products caters to generation of treated water and it includes the relocation of rubber plant from Thane to Jhagadia in a phased manner. The project entails an estimated investment of Rs.3,227.9 million. As of January 2009, the company has recently signed an MoU with the state government. The project is expected to be completed by 2010
