East Delta Electricity Production Company (EDEPC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC), is inviting international manufacturers to submit bids for the design, fabrication, furnishing, delivery, transport to site, training and technical assistance during installation and commissioning for the power transformer purchase order (Units 1&2, gas/oil fired units power transformers package) for El Ain El Sokhna Supercritical Thermal Power Plant (which will consist of 2 steam generators, 2×650MW steam turbine generators and condensers). Finance: Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD).
The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: 7 main power transformers (single phase) 290MVA, 24/500KV; 2 unit auxiliary transformers 42MVA, 24/6.3KV; 2 generator circuit breakers and accessories 24KV; 2 sets of isolated phase accessories 20KA. The bid document will be available at EDEPC’s offices on 16/04/2009. Bidders may receive the bid document by submitting an application (1 original + 2 copies), accompained by a payment receipt of USD 1000 from the National Bank of Egypt, Ismailia branch - Ismailia. (Account no. 11000441395) at the EDEPC’s address, to the attention of the Head of Procurement Sector. The bids must be submitted on 11/06/2009 in 2 envelopes.
Envelope A must contain all the required information and must be accompained by a bid security in an acceptable form equal to USD 600,000. Envelope B must include the schedule of quantities and prices. Only envelope A will be opened on the same day at 12:00 pm in the presence of bidders? representatives who choose to attend, at the headquarters of EDEPC. Bidders, whose bids have been determined to be substantially responsive, shall be informed of the opening date for envelope B.
