EBRD/BERS - Wastewater Networks (GAVAR,VARDENIS, MARTUNI, SEVAN,JERMUK)

INVITATION FOR TENDERS REHABILITATION OF WASTEWATER NETWORKS IN GAVAR, VARDENIS, MARTUNI, SEVAN AND JERMUK

This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this project which was published in Procurement Opportunities, 5758-GPN-37030 of 10 June 2008. The Armenian Water and Sewerage Company, hereinafter referred to as “the Employer”, intends using part of the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) and a grant from the EU Water Initiative towards the cost of the Lake Sevan Environmental Project.

The Armenian Water and Sewerage Company now invites sealed tenders from contractors for the following contract to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan: Rehabilitation of wastewater networks in Gavar, Vardenis, Martuni, Sevan and Jermuk.

The works comprise the rehabilitation of sewer pipes in the five towns with following lengths and sizes as well as construction of three sewage pumping stations (PS):

  1. Gavar: DN 600, l= 3,998 m ; DN 200 – DN 400, l= 3762 m;
  2. Vardenis: DN 200 – DN 400: 3,212 m;
  3. Martuni: DN 200 – DN 400: 3,972 m;
  4. Sevan: DN 200 – DN 400: 6,092 m; PS3 and PS5: Q= 165 m3/h, head = 38 m;
  5. Jermuk: DN 200 – DN 400: 2,803m; PS: Q= 100 m3/h, head = 37 m.

 

The estimated duration of the works is 17 calendar months, namely July 2009 till November 2010 with a break in winter time. Tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to firms from any country. To be qualified for the award of a contract, tenderers must satisfy the following minimum criteria:

  • Experience under contracts of similar scope of work and physical size; 
  • Participation in at least two contracts within the last 5 years, each with a value of at least EUR 3,000,000 equivalent;
  • Experience in construction of wastewater pumping stations and laying of sewer pipes;
  • Sound financial position with minimum average annual turnover of EUR 5 million equivalent within the last 5 years;

If requested, the documents will be promptly dispatched by courier, but no liability can be accepted for loss or late delivery.
All tenders must be accompanied by a tender security of 100,000 EUR or its equivalent in a convertible currency. Tenders must be delivered to the office at the address below on or before 19 June 2009, 12:00 hours (local), at which time they will be opened in the presence of those tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend. A register of potential tenderers who have purchased the tender documents may be inspected at the address below.

Malta : Geotechnical consultancy for Citadella

Geotechnical consultancy for Citadella – Malta Restoration Unit. A fee of €100.00 will be charged for each copy of tender document.
This is a Service Notice under the International Open Tender Procedure. This tender is part-financed by the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund 2007-2013 – Investing in your future. (Estimated Budget: €516,949.15 excluding V.A.T.). Tenderers are advised to visit the website of the Department of Contracts at http://contracts.gov.mt from where they can download preview documents, purchase tender documents online 24 hours a day, and register for additional functionalities.

Tenderers may also obtain this information by utilizing the Department’s official website, http://www.contracts.gov.mt Any tenderer who may feel aggrieved by any such recommendation must submit his official complaint to the Director General (Contracts) in accordance with part XIII of the said Regulations which lays down in detail the procedure to be followed in such a case. All tenderers should, therefore, familiarise themselves with the provisions of this part of the Regulations.
