Name of project: Cooperative Vertical Shaft and Coal Dressing Plant Newly-building Project of Longmay Mineral Group Jixi Branch Company Scale of project: 1.2 million tons per annum.
The project has been listed into the national 11th Five-year Plan, it is the continuing mine of production mine of Jixi Branch Company, the geological reserve of the mine is 212.237 million tons, the industrial reserve is 182.615 million tons, the exploitable reserve is 120.7085 million tons. The coal varieties include long-flame coal, gas coal and 1/3 coking coal, which all belong to low-sulfur, low-phosphorus and high-heat coal. Construction contents: all mines and matched coal dressing plant. Vertical shaft is applied, the mining method applies long-wall method, a comprehensive mining working face and a super-conventional machine mining working face are arranged. Sales direction of product: chemical, construction material and power-generating. The pre-feasibility study has been completed, the feasibility study is under preparation process, mining right is being applied. It is planned to complete the project registration during the preliminary period in 2008 and commence the project in 2009. Investment estimate: The total investment is US$120 million, it is estimated that the annual sales income after the project construction has been completed is US$46.286 million, the profit is US$10 million, the tax is US$6.286 million and the investment recovery period is 8 years. India : Mining

Aravali Minerals & Chemical Industries is planning to expand its soapstone mine at Piprach in Udaipur district of Rajasthan. The mining capacity will be increased from 1,664 TPA to 22,800 TPA for production of soapstone and talcose. The project is to be implemented at a cost of Rs.100 million. As of March 2009, the expansion proposal has received the approval and work on the project will begin shortly.
