SRF a leading Indian player in technical textiles and in diversified business is planning to set up a laminated fabric facility (48 million mtrs/ yr) at its Kashipur unit in Udhamsingh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. The project entails an estimated investment of Rs.570 million. As of February 2009, the proposal is in its preliminary stage. The project is slated for completion by the end of 2009.

Rav’s Steels is planning to set up a sponge iron plant (400 TPD) at Rayadurga in Anantappur district of AP. Popuri Engineering & Consultancy Services, Hyderabad has been appointed as the project consultant. The project is to be implemented at an estimated investment of Rs.500 million. As of January 2009, land has been acquired and the clearances are awaited. The project is slated for completion in 8 months from zero date.
