Adhunik Corporation a manufacturer of quality steel & ferro products is planning to set up a cement unit (2.5 million TPA) at Dadri in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. The project envisages an investment of Rs.12,500 million to be funded through banks and promoters contribution. Project & technical consultancy is to be rendered by an in-house team and the equipment suppliers are yet to be finalised. As of January 2009, land has been acquired and the statutory clearances are awaited. The project is scheduled for completion by 2011.

Shenhua Group, the country’s largest coal producer, announced that a direct coal-to-liquids (CTL) project had started operation before the New Year, sources reported.
The project, involving a total investment of RMB 10 billion, is the world’s first major liquefaction plant that employs direct coal liquefaction technology.
Located in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the first CTL facility in China is designed with a capacity of producing one million tons of fuels annually.
The project started construction on April, 2005, and is producing fuels and chemical products all up to standard at present.
Shenhua Group is a state-owned mining and energy company in China. It was founded in October 1995 under the auspices of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China.
