India : Transport Equipment

Suzuki Motorcycle India a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation Japan is expanding its motor cycle manufacturing capacity at its Gurgaon plant from 175,000 nos/ yr to 450,000 nos/ yr at a cost of Rs.1,500 million. As of February 2009, 25% of cost is expended and capacity increased to 225,000. The project is planned for completion sometime in 2012.

Construction of a tram depot and tram rail (first phase) and procurement of five tram vehicles.

 

The contract covers the construction of a depot – administrative building with management centre, workshop, washing hall, separate area for garaging a maximum of 40 vehicles and additional area for garaging 6 tram vehicles. Also, it includes the construction of a single length route of total of 12km physically separated from the other traffic routes on the road, as well as procurement of 5 vehicles with 100 % low floor with vehicle length of 32-33 meters.

DURATION OF THE CONTRACT OR TIME-LIMIT FOR COMPLETION: Duration in months: 36 (from the award of the contract).

Kenya Somalia EC flight service

SERVICE PROCUREMENT NOTICE

Budget: € 16.000.000 for 30 months

The object of the contract is to provide safe, reliable, efficient and cost-effective air transport capacity from Nairobi, Kenya to Somalia and within Somalia to facilitate the implementation of humanitarian, rehabilitation and development projects financed by the European Commission and by the European Union Member States, as well as missions by the European Commission, EU Member States and other donor representatives.

 

Aircraft specifications and requirements:

  1. One medium passenger/cargo utility aircraft to be positioned in Nairobi, Kenya or as indicated by the EC, available for at least 125 hours/month (e.g. Beechcraft 1900)
  2. One medium passenger/cargo utility aircraft to be positioned in Nairobi, Kenya or as indicated by the EC, available for at least 100 hours/month (e.g. Dornier 228)
  3. One light medium twin engined passenger/cargo utility aircraft to be positioned in Hargeisa, Somaliland or as indicated by the EC, available for at least 80 hours/month (e.g. Beechcraft 200)

Equipment: Communication and navigation equipment in accordance with ICAO; VHF/AM and HF digital communications equipment; Crew and maintenance capability.

Deadline for receipt of applications

16:00 hours Kenya time (GMT +03) on 16th March 2009

Any application received after this deadline will not be considered.
